Kindred

Psychedelic Integration Circle for People of the Global Majority

Every 3rd Sunday | Virtual | 2PM EST

A place for us to find our kindred spirits:

When working with psychedelics, whether recreationally, ceremonially, or therapeutically, we need spaces to softly land and process with like-minded community. Integration circles provide us an opportunity to embody the lessons, insights, and downloads gained during our journeys into expanded states of consciousness. Our Kindred Integration Circle is rooted in cultural mindfulness as we honor diverse ancestral traditions, wisdom, and practices.  These circles are inclusive spaces for beings of Black, Brown, and Indigenous descent to be in community, to explore, to be curious and to practice tools that can support their experiences with expanded states of consciousness and entheogenic substances. This is a place where we honor the unknown, make space for the mystery, and allow what needs to be awakened to come alive.

Facilitated by Liberation Training founder, Charlotte Duerr James, and Integration Coach Quest Brown, our Kindred Circles offer a nurturing environment where participants can explore the insights and transformations that psychedelic journeys can evoke. Through storytelling, mindfulness practices, guided group discussions/reflections, and other diverse modalities, our circles cultivate self-discovery and personal growth, aiming to empower BIPOC individuals with tools to carry along their journeys.

Kindred: a group of persons related to one another; family, tribe, or clan.

Circle Guidelines + agreements

As an Integration circle, we are not a substitute for guide-work, therapy, or spiritual mentorship.

This is not a time to be in altered consciousness, but rather a space to share, explore, and be curious. Honoring safety, there will be no discussion of how to source substances.

At the beginning of circles, we ask folks to turn their cameras on to ensure the safety and sacredness of our BIPOC space. For the remainder of circle, we invite you to honor camera bandwidth as it aligns for you.  We never have nor will record Kindred circles.

A BRAVE , CONFIDENTIAL & JUDGMENT FREE  SPACE

We hold brave spaces where people are invited to express, share, and be vulnerable. We respect and accept all beings and their unique life experience and lens. We are mindful of using inclusive language and content warnings. We honor safety and confidentiality regarding our work with medicines: what is shared in circle, stays in circle.

MINDFUL PARTICIPATION & RESPECT

If you’re a person who is called to share often (extrovert), the invite is to make/take space for some deep listening. If you’re someone who leans into quiet (introvert), the invite is to make/take space to explore using your voice and sharing.

We invite active participation in the form of ‘I’ statements when sharing: reflections, feedback, or carrying a thread forward. We invite you to actively listen without offering advice, to not interpret the journeys or experiences of others, and to leave space for others to ask for the care + support they may need.

We come to circle and carry varying bandwidths of experience, knowledge, and practices with entheogens, psychedelics, mental health, and living. Please be mindful of honoring: compassion, understanding, respect. Let’s see, hear, and value one another.

Faq

  • BIPOC + SWANA + People of the Global Majority who have had a previous experience with psychedelics/Sacred Earth Medicines. We welcome folks working with all types of medicines, in all types of settings including social, recreational, ceremonial, communal, and solo use.

  • White bodied folks. You are welcome to attend other gatherings that are not created for specific affinity groups.

  • We hold a 7 minute arrival buffer at the start of each meeting before opening the sacred container. After this 7 minute buffer, we are unable to admit folks due to the sensitive nature of the sharing that happens in these circles.

If you need to hop off early we just ask that you share a goodbye message in the chat before exiting.
